Dolly Daou holds a doctorate in the fields of interior architecture and urbanism; she has more than 20 years of international leadership experience in pluri-disciplinary Research & Development working between academia and the industry. Daou is an international expert in design pedagogy, research, international alliances development and higher education quality assurance in Australia, Asia, Europe and the Middle East. Combining her academic knowledge in the fields of interior architecture and urbanism with design managements and strategies, particularly in the food systems, Daou developed bespoke R&D and design management workshops with tangible industry and/or research results.
Currently, Founder and Director of Dolly Daou Consultancy, a mentor at Rolemodel Rebels, a design researcher at GCMA Australia, a Community Manager at the European Innovation Council EU for entrepreneurial team; a member of Australian Business in Europe, Founder and Chair of New Eating Habits Working Group, Cumulus Association. Congress Ambassador of Dubai Tourism. Author of co-edited book: Unbounded on the Interior and Interiority. In the past Daou held the following positions: the Director of Food Design Lab at l’Ecole de design Nantes Atlantique, France, Mentor and PhD Supervisor at Australian Institute of Business (AIB), Director of the Association of Professional Interior Designers (APID), Dubai, Head of Interior Architecture program and interior design program at Swinburne University of Technology in Australia and in Hong Kong, and the Treasurer of Interior Design/Architecture Educators Association, (IDEA) Australia and New Zealand.
